this is a great peace of kit, though the price is very high I do think it was worth is and cannot wait to try it out professionally. my few problems with this product are that it didn't come with any pouches free despite paying 160 for it and I also found that even though its easy to adjust the size it still can be every lose. ideal for most situations, not good for small built people and expect to have to pay a lot more on it.

Good quality, all around protective vest. I did a lot of research on the vest and compared what options are available for attaching pouches, especially a camelbak type water bladder. Needeless to say, I bought the Condor. I bought IIIA soft inserts and IV plates for the front back and side (side armor pouches from OPS GEAR). Even with level IV protection, the weight is evenly distributed and does not feel bulky. The carrying handle is reinforced and I'm confident that it not tear (fail) if it is used. The velcro pile front for patches is nice and wide, but it still allows for attaching pouches, D-rings, etc. Lastly, the nylon mesh interior is not course or abrasive against the skin, adding to wearer comfort. I wear it on a daily basis and sometimes it is easy to forget you have it on. Again, a good quality, all around vest. Highly recommended.

I picked one of these up for my deployment in Iraq and LOVED it. Superior quality. Only one complaint to date - the velcro holding the shoulder straps to the front part of the vest need to be stregthened and increased rather than this 1" x 1" square. With all of the ammo and stuff on the front, it pulls the velcro away from it. I understand it's kept small for the quick release, however it needs to be strengthened.

Carrier could use about 10% more real estate. Good product. The mesh works as advertised. Soft armor plate size should be kept no larger than XL, with Second Chance Large being almost perfect. Large hard plates fit nicely. Shoulder hook and loop could use some more real estate when a heavy load is applied. Simply picking the unit up and donning it can adjust the hook and loop. Quick release takes a stout tug, but works every time, no accidental deployment of the quick release. Setup after quick release is straight forward and easy. All in all, it's a good product that could use slight improvements overall.
