#605: SIERRA Hooded Fleece Jacket

The Sierra Hooded Fleece Jacket is an outstanding product all around. It provides plenty of insulation for warmth yet is very breathable. The pit zips are a nicer touch rather than ventilation holes. The D-Ring is a nice feature to tie down GPS &/or other sensitive items in order to secure them properly. The Olive Drab is ‘True’ OD Green & matches identically to my Vanguard & other MFR Big Red One unit patches. This jacket surpasses all competition & is near perfect, however, I would give this product a ‘9’ overall. I would say that the overall quality is outstanding but, would have liked to see Condor apply the same fundamentals to the Sierra Hooded Fleece as they did with the ALPHA micro fleece; as the Sierra Hooded Fleece is without an Abrasion-reinforced collar or shoulder. However, I would highly recommend this product to anyone as this not only competes with TAD or other ECWS systems but also beats out North Face & Patagonia by matching or surpassing quality & craftsmanship & also offering the product at a much more competitive price point. – Overall; “Very pleased.”
