Yellowstone
SC (Texas) 6/28/2010 11:39 AM
Purchased this jacket for Yellowstone in early June. Couldn't have worked better. Yellowstone in June is rain/sleet/snow/sun and any combination there of. This jacket layered with a fleece layer kept me comfortable and dry. Didn't overheat when the sun came out. 5 stars.

I purchased this jacket for a light weight jacket in the winter and for layering with other items when needed. I must say I really like this jacket. It has done what it says it will do. I wish you would make one in multicam!!

Range Safety Officer & Instructor

I have used this jacket for 6 months now. Use it as a daily coat and on the range. Works great overall for most uses. It isn't extremely warm stand alone, but works great as a layered system. Water beads off for awhile, but I still sprayed some WP spray to keep the water beading off longer. A couple notes: 1. They fit consistently one size small. I wear Med./Reg. BDUs and the Large Condor jacket was the best fit. 2. Not very long in the waist. Pros and Cons to this. Works great for the range, but for those with a CCW or can carry a weapon off duty, this jacket is a little tight and short so it doesn't offer the best concealment of a weapon.

Chief - Law Enforcement Mountain Operations School
STEVEN R.TOMSON (SPOKANE, WA) 1/15/2010 4:06 PM
I wore this jacket during our last Basic Mountain Operations Course (Jan. 9 - 14, 2010). It preformed very well in wet weather with tempatures just above freezing. During 3 hours of steady, light rain and sleet, it shed water well and I remained very dry. The jacket vents well, is very quite in the woods and has lots of functional and well placed pockets that hold mags, knives, trauma and survival gear very well. The jacket dried very quickly hanging inside at 65 degrees F with 100% humidity. This jacket is outstanding and a very good buy.

I received one of these jackets as a Christmas present from my wife Amanda. We had been looking at similar products when we found this one. Most of them were at least twice the money as the Condor. I have been out to shoot with this jacket twice now and I feel that it functions perfectly. Water beads up and rolls off this jacket and yet it still seems to breath well. The cut is good for shooting sports(not so overly long at the waist that it interferes with drawing or re-holstering a side arm) and the sleeves hang close to the arms without a lot of unnecessary bulk. An added bonus of the material used is that it is nearly silent in motion. Most waterproof shells make a lot of noise as you move. The placement of the pockets is perfect for those that wear tactical vests or plate carriers. Most if not all are still accessible to the wearer. The MP3 pocket works well and it is nice to be able to route the cables thru the jacket interior. The one thing that sort of bugs me is that cold air seeps into the jacket @ the under arm zippers and you can really feel it when wearing a short sleeve shirt as a base layer. No big deal, now I just wear a long sleeve as my base. All in all this is a very nice jacket that will perform as well if not better that it's more expensive competition. Thanks Condor for another great product!!
